I was impressed with both the choreography they created that was tailored to our ability level and how they supported us in our practice so we could feel confident performing it. They were encouraging, supportive and able to teach us to do moves that at first we thought there was no way we could pull off.
Most of all, they made learning and practicing the dance so much fun and made us feel comfortable to take risks. Providing digital videos so we could practice on our own and learn at our own pace was incredibly helpful and we're so grateful to the Creative Director for choreographing and teaching us such a beautiful wedding dance. "As two people with minimal dancing abilities and myself, with absolutely zero natural talent, learning a dance for our wedding was honestly pretty daunting! Then we met The Wedding Dance Atelier, and our whole outlook completely changed. They were so patient, understanding and accommodating, and somehow turned something we were initially nervous about into one of the most fun parts of our wedding journey. The dance practices genuinely became some of our favourite memories leading up to the big day. No question was too silly, and no request was ever too ridiculous. The Creative Director listened to exactly what we wanted and created a personalised dance that felt so 'us'.
On the day, we had the absolute best time showing off our dance to all our friends and family, and we were so proud of what we had learned. "The Wedding Dance Atelier was absolutely amazing at choreographing and teaching my husband and I our wedding dance! They were so helpful with making us feel comfortable, even though dance was something very new for the both of us. They choreographed our dance with both our strengths and weaknesses in mind. This helped us not only excel in our dance, but knowing this also helped us trust that they knew our abilities and wouldn't give us something we couldn't do. One thing that was really helpful for me in particular, was their belief in me. They were so encouraging but also challenged me to do the best that I could and strived to help me become a better dancer! They helped me believe in myself too! The Creative Director was also incredibly supportive of us, especially when we were feeling nervous. They have such a joyful attitude that helped keep us going and provided an amazing level of emotional support. They were also super awesome working around our schedules, making sure that we had all the practice that we needed before our big day.
